According to the police, the court will decide how clients will be paid out of the GH¢5 million that the CEO of the now-defunct Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah, also known as NAM 1, provided to the service.
The police said that the aforementioned sum had been placed in the Bank of Ghana’s police exhibit account for the judge’s review.
According to the police, in a press release sighted by 1Family Radio, the sum is part of their investigation into petitions from Menzgold’s disgruntled clients.
“The amount is part of investigations into petitions received from some customers of MenzGold Company Limited and Brew Marketing Consult Limited, currently before the Accra High Court against suspect Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM1,’’ parts of the statement noted.
“We would like to state that the decision on the disbursement of the money would be determined by the court,’’ it added.
Menzgold stated that the action was taken to expedite the payment of clients who have been validated throughout the settlement procedure in a statement announcing the cash’s transfer to the police.
