Ghanaian gospel musician, Evangelist Diana Asamoah, has caused the apprehension of her junior pastor and personal assistant for allegedly stealing from her.
In a video sighted by 1Family Radio, the gospel musician, who is also an NPP stalwart, lauded Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his innovative digitalization initiative.
According to her, the digitalization project, spearheaded by the Veep, has not only preserved her life but also her finances.
In the said video, Diana Asamoah claimed that her junior pastor, Rev. Eric Kwame Asante, stole an amount of GH¢4,000 from her Mobile Money wallet, and this is not the first time such an incident has occurred.
“Rev. Eric Kwame Asante is the man who translates my sermons into English; he also happens to be my bible reader. He speaks in tongues and, on some occasions, fills in for me. However, this is not the first or second time such a thing has happened; he mostly goes on his knees to plead for forgiveness, and I pardon him.’’
She continued, “Thanks to the intervention of the Holy Spirit and Dr. Bawumia’s digital drive, everything has become uncomplicated. Rev. Eric divulged that he had seen my MoMo pin while I was making a transaction, so he also transferred GH¢4,000 to his wallet, intending to spend it on women.’’
A snippet of the video showed the accused in handcuffs at the Tesano Police Station.
“He knows my residence, and if care is not taken, he might attempt to pay assassins to kill me. This is so typical of thieves,’’ she added.
