Djibo Takoubokoye Daouda revealed that even though he has fled his own country, he is still the head of staff.
According to him, the only thing that has changed in his country is the limitations that the democratically elected president now faces.
He made this statement in an interview on JoyNews, which was monitored by 1Family Radio.
He also stressed that, “I’m not the former chief of staff ; I’m the chief of staff of the president of Republic of Niger, Mohammmed Bazoum ,who is still the elected president of Niger. He’s still the elected one not the former president.”
This endeavor to remove him from office is still ongoing but will soon be over. With the exception of Mali and Burkina Faso, both of which are experiencing identical circumstances, Bazoum is still recognized as the president of Niger by all nations.
In the meantime, ECOWAS has been debating whether to send soldiers into Niger to assist with the crisis.
Many prominent figures in Ghana have warned the administration against making any attempt to include soldiers from the nation in such a move.
