Richard Ahiagbah, the Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has projected that the party will unquestionably win back the Assin North parliamentary seat.
Following a Supreme Court ruling that Parliament remove James Gyakye Quayson’s name from its records as the representative for the constituency, the Assin North seat was declared vacant by Parliament on May 31, 2023.
As a result, the by-election in the constituency to elect a new MP was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, by the Electoral Commission.
