Ghanaian entertainment journalist, critic, and pundit Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has said that Sarkodie may file a lawsuit against actress Yvonne Nelson if he feels defamed by the details contained in her new book.
In her new memoir, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” Yvonne Nelson said that in 2010, she had to abort a child for the renowned Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie because he wouldn’t accept responsibility for the pregnancy.
In response, Arnold has said that the actress is legally entitled to be sued by Sarkodie and anyone else who appears in her memoir and feels they have been harmed.
Making a submission on UTV’s United Showbiz, monitored by 1Family Radio, the entertainment pundit unequivocally noted that Yvonne Nelson can be sued for defamation as well as breach of privacy.
“Sarkodie can equally write a book or prefer not to respond. If Sarkodie feels his image has been tarnished by the shocks in the books, he can sue for defamation; he can also take action for breach of privacy,” he said.
Arnold stated unequivocally that anyone who feels that their reputation has been affected may pursue legal action against the “Princess Tara” actress.
“Every name included in the book has the legal right to file a lawsuit if they feel that the book’s content has damaged their image,” Arnold added.
