A Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur, Fella Makafui, has indicated her belief that social media is no longer an option in people’s lives but now a necessity for survival in today’s world.
In her view, the efficient connectivity offered by smartphones has made social media an essential part of life, and many people need social media to survive.
“Without social media, I don’t think a lot of people can survive. Because the world we are living in now is an IT world, it is only about technology. Every human has a phone, which makes them addicted to it 24/7. I think in a few years, everything is going to be computerized. The world is changing drastically, and we just have to move along with it,” she stated.
She has invigorated Ghanaians to utilize social media platforms not for petty squabbles but for productive activity.
“So I feel we are very lucky to connect to the internet now. I think people should take this opportunity to invest and make business, but not unless things actually are what I use my social media for,” she added.
