Habiba Sinare, a Ghanaian actress, has shared her thoughts on the provocation faced by Ghanaian youth. She suggests that a lack of diligence is partly to blame.
She pointed out that many young Ghanaians are not actively achieving career-impacting endeavors, choosing instead to concentrate on social media. Habiba mentioned that the government under President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akuffo Addo is making strides to address various issues and should not be held solely accountable for the youth’s predicaments.
During her interview on the Untied Showbiz program broadcasted on UTV, which was monitored by 1Family Radio, Sinare called on the youth to take their lives more seriously.
“No one is going to take the youth of Ghana seriously. We have sold our future and are more concerned about our online presence. Some people are really trying, but others are just focusing on the media and playing around. Just a few are serious.
“If the president provides jobs for the youth, some of them will still not take it seriously. We are too comfortable and always blame the government. Do you want the president to pay you regularly? We should fend for ourselves and stop being abusive when people express their views on certain issues,” she told MzGee during the show.
Recent economic challenges have prompted protests from some young Ghanaians, signaling a call for attention to these issues.
