Ghanaian-renowned actress Habiba Sinare has hinted that she won’t participate in any protests against the recent erratic power supply in the country.
According to her, the government is fully aware of the fact that Ghanaians are suffering from this power outage, yet they seem reluctant to put measures in place to curb it.
Speaking in an interview on United Showbiz over the weekend, which was monitored by 1Family Radio, Habiba noted that any protest intended to fight dumsor is unnecessary because it won’t cause any change in the country.
“What’s the purpose? I won’t participate in any protest. Who told you these people don’t know we are suffering? What haven’t we done in this country for the international media to pick it up? Where are we? We are where we are, and worse. Ghana is a small country, and we shouldn’t be experiencing this,’’ she said.
“We are better than this. There is nothing I can say about this dumsor because I don’t work at the Ministry of Energy. But it seems that there is no accountability; we are not entitled to know more, and nobody is entitled to explain anything to us. We deserve better. I prayed for Ghana during Ramadan, and I hope we do well,’’ she lamented.
