Tema collections account for an estimated 80% of customs revenue. Tema is regarded as the breadbasket of revenue collections when it comes to customs work.
Customs came within 1.2 billion Cedi of meeting the revenue objective of 25.6 billion Cedi, especially in a year marked by reduced impact volumes.
The executives and employees of Tema Collection of Customs have gathered to relax and consider 2023 after a challenging year. The lively Adaha Dance Band performed live for the customs officials.
Christiana Odi Adjei, the Tema sector commander, encouraged her workers to keep up the good work in 2023 while praising them for it.
“Most of us worked long nights; we appreciate what you did and will continue to do,” she remarked. Thank you to all of you; we appreciate and are very appreciative. I am confident that you will provide us with the highest level of commitment, motivation, and expertise to hire laurels.
The Tema Collection team has been challenged by Emmanuel Ohene, the deputy commissioner in charge of operations, to rise to the occasion in 2024.
By the grace of God, 2023 has passed, and the GRA was able to meet its goal. This means that in 2024, in Tema, the customs division’s basket, great expectations will be placed on us, and we have complete faith in the administration and personnel of this collection that the GRA will not fail.
