Alan Kyerematen, a former candidate for the npp’s flagbearer position, has criticized the party’s ashanti regional chairman, bernard antwi boasiako, better known as Chairman Wontumi, for disparaging him after he left the party.
Alan queried the audacity of Wontumi to make accusations against him while speaking in a UTV interview that was monitored by 1Family Radio.
Alan claimed that because he was the one who introduced Wontumi into the NPP, the latter ought to show him gratitude.
‘’Who brought Wontumi to the party? Today, Wontumi is going around making all kinds of noise. If he has someone to thank, it should be Alan Kyerematen. I am the one who held his hands to the party. Who is Wontumi?’’ Alan quizzed.
“We shouldn’t be voicing certain things, but we have remained silent for too long. I brought Wontumi to the NPP, and I had a legitimate motive for doing so. He operated a little business. Today, Wontumi is the one making the decisions when we discuss party-related matters,’’ he noted.
“I made him a chairman while holding his hand… He was continually following me after he was elected chairman; he was more than just the lead campaigner. I’m mentioning this to commend him for having the acumen to recognize that Alan was the one who might lead him into politics.’’
“But for the sake of the future, he needs to be cautious about the things he has been doing. Don’t ever take someone for granted if they help you succeed,’’ he added.
