The president of the Colombian second division club Tigres, Edgar Paez, was shot dead on Saturday night.
According to reports, Edgar was traveling home with his daughter when this tragic tragedy took place after Tigres lost a home match against Atletico FC.
Two unmanned motorbike riders shot and murdered the 63-year-old man in close proximity to the stadium. However, his daughter managed to flee the incident unscathed.
In a Twitter (now X) post sighted by 1Family Radio, Tigres FC conveyed its deep sorrow.
“The Tigers family and the sporting community are devastated by this event. His commitment to the team and his dedication to the development of the sport in our region left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him,’’ it was noted.
