Citizens of Lomnava, a suburb in Accra, are pleading with the government to come to their aid.
News reaching 1Family Radio states that one of the residents has blocked the road.
According to the narration of an eyewitness, they reported this incident to the local assembly, but nothing has been done about it.
“The local assembly is failing to do its duties for the residents. How can an individual just block the road without considering the mobility of the other residents?”
“I recounted how I had to park my car at the junction and walk roughly 200 meters to my house. I was with an old lady, and we had packs of water in the car, which we had to carry with us,’’ he stated.
“We had reported this to the local assembly, and they assured us that they would be here this morning at 9:00 a.m.; it’s almost twelve and they have not shown up. They are waiting for us to call them again.’’
