Veteran Ghanaian broadcaster Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) recently made a controversial statement about which political party he would support in the general elections of 2024.
He claimed that while he had supported the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the previous elections, President Akufo-Addo’s poor leadership has led him to change his vote to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
KOD bemoaned the current situation of the economy in Ghana and felt that things could have been better than they are now.
In an interview with JoyPrime that was monitored by 1Family Radio, the renowned broadcaster said that President Akufo-Addo has failed miserably and deeply disappointed Ghanaians.
“Akufo-Addo’s administration could have been better. This is supposed to be our best time in Ghana, and it is one of the reasons why I supported his campaign in 2020. I don’t think he has done well,’’ he noted.
“In the next elections, I won’t vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), but rather do so for the National Democratic Congress (NDC),’’ he disclosed.
