The campaign team for Kennedy Agyapong, a candidate for the NPP’s flagbearer position, is hailing the politician as the most qualified person to lead not just the New Patriotic Party (NPP) but also the entire country.
The team’s spokesperson, Kwame Owusu, claims that Ghana needs a strict leader like the MP for Assin Central to alter attitudes.
Following the NPP’s balloting for the final four candidates running for the party’s presidency in November, he made this claim in an interview with TV3. This interview was monitored by 1Family Radio.
Hon. Kennedy Agyapong picked the first slot on the ballot paper, followed by Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
Regarding the results of the voting, he noted, “I will just caution our people not to give up and not to simply rejoice and declare that because we have chosen “one,” we will win.’’
“I believe in hard work, and they should all start going door to door right away to ensure that the dreams and the good things that Honourable [Ken Agyapong] has for this country are realized.”
He continued, “The discipline is what matters most to us. We need a disciplinarian in this country to change our collective mindsets because no one is capable of governing it.
“Contractors will build the roads, and in only two months, everything just falls apart with no one being held accountable.’’
“As a leader, be a pillar for all of us so that those who work with him, his appointees, the police, the general public, and all contractors who receive government contracts won’t fail to uphold our interests.’’
“And I think that is the main reason that when December 2024 comes around, everyone will look up to him,’’ he added.
