Koku Anyidoho, a former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has shared his two cents about the ongoing investigation into the leaked tape detailing the scheme to oust the Inspector-General of Police.
In the said tape, some allegations were brought against the IGP, George Akuffo-Dampare, and his leadership. In response to these allegations, the IGP was summoned before a committee in Parliament to investigate the tape.
Reacting to this development, Koku Anyidoho has lashed out against some unnamed individuals, calling them ”envious.”
In a series of tweets sighted by 1Family Radio, Koku accused these individuals of being lazy and jealous of Dampare.
He, however, commended the IGP for the boldness he exhibited when he appeared before the parliamentary committee.
Koku also commented on some possible reasons why the late President Atta Mills appointed Dampare as an aide-de-camp during his term of office.
“When lazy people who lobby and pull people down before getting to the top see others rise through dint of hard work, sacrifice, and merit, the lazy sods get very jealous and go vile with their evil fabricated stories. But God exalts His own.”
Koku who seemed to have had such experience in his political career noted, “As a victim, i know what i am talking about.”
In his subsequent remarks, Koku emphasized several qualities and the rapid elevation of Dampare in the police department, which led to his nomination as an aide-de-camp without any lobbying.
