Veteran Ghanaian Kumawood actor Akwasi Boadi, better known as Akrobeto, has reacted to socialite Efia Odo’s comments on the kind of man she prefers to date.
Efia, a socialite cum actress, said she wouldn’t want to date a man who isn’t already well-off. She remarked that she wouldn’t even think of approaching a man like that.
During his Real News show on UTV, monitored by 1Family Radio, Akrobeto used his popular catchphrase “Nobody knows tomorrow’’ to remind Efia Odo of the unpredictability of the future.
He claimed that since no one can predict the future, a man who she currently believes is not wealthy will eventually achieve success in life.
“Let me tell you something, Efia. Efia, as I often say, nobody knows the future. What we see today and tomorrow will be very different,’’ he said.
‘’Even if Boamah is hustling right now, in two to three years he will change, and everything will work out perfectly for him.’’
“You should keep in mind that you weren’t initially popular in Ghana, but through time, people got to know you. This means that the person you believe to be poor will eventually succeed in life,’’ he said.
Akrobeto went on to explain how his first girlfriend left him for a richer football player to buttress his claims, but that since then, he has become well-known throughout Ghana and internationally.
“Let me give you an example of myself. I’ve been a hustler before. The American woman I had been dating during my hustle dumped me because she thought I was a nobody.”
“But right now, if for nothing else, Ghana and other nations are hearing about me. The future is thus unknown,’’ he added.
