Nana Ohene Ntow, the spokesperson for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer aspirant, Alan Kyerematen, has disclosed that Alan was the brain behind the paperless port and not the vice president.
He stated that it is high time Ghanaians accord Alan Kyerematen the credit he deserves for this invention. Adding that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has been awarded credit for work he didn’t do,
Speaking in an interview with Citi TV, monitored by 1Family Radio, Ohene Ntow also alleged that Alan Kyerematen was the driving force behind several of the NPP government’s recognized initiatives.
“You’ll see that the procedures for clearing cargo at the port have been heavily automated; this was an idea from Alan Kyerematen, he remarked.
“In the case of port digitalization and the paperless program, the record is there. It is one of the first things that Alan has done to facilitate the clearing of goods.’’
“The credit has been wrongly placed. Because these programs are under the purview of the Ministry of Trade, you can check the records with Customs and the Ghana Port and Harbors Authority, he said.
He also alleged that Alan Kyerematen is the best person to lead Ghana and get it out of its current economic woes.
