The vice president of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is not only the president’s advisor, as claimed by Movement for Change leader Alan John Kojo Kyeremanten.
Alan, who served as Akufo-Addo’s cabinet member and minister for trade and industry for almost six of those years, claims that the president granted Dr. Bawumia the go-ahead to oversee Ghana’s economy.
The former trade minister said that Ghanaians should be fair to President Akufo-Addo and stop saying that he did not give Dr. Bawumia, the NPP flagbearer, the opportunity to manage the economy. The former minister left the ruling party [NPP] to run as an independent presidential candidate in the upcoming 2024 elections.
The Vice President is Dr. Bawumia. He has had every chance to cooperate with the president and accomplish as much as he can for our nation.
To be extremely fair to the current president, he has treated the vice president’s flight as air. He has all the opportunity to lead this nation, thanks to Akufo-Addo. He said this in an interview on TV3 on Monday, February 6, 2024, which was sighted by 1Famliy Radio.
Dr. Bawumia is to blame for Ghana’s current economic situation, according to Alan, who also said that the vice president has demonstrated his incapacity to oversee the economy.
He emphasized, “The man is tired; there is nothing new he can do, and that is a fact.”
