Obaapa Gladys, who gained the spotlight for the hit song “Cobra,” has expressed the extent to which she admires Shatta Wale.
Obaapa Gladys, who called herself “Shatta Cobra,” congratulated Shatta Wale on his recent victory at the Ghana Music Awards UK 2023 in an interview with MX24 TV that was monitored by 1Family Radio.
After Shatta Wale returned from the UK, Obaapa Gladys said she would want to meet up with him.
“He is the one in charge of my videos. God bless him, and I commend Shatta Wale for winning awards recently. I am so happy for him,’’ she said.
“When he arrives in the country, I and my supporters will meet him at the airport. I would love to do a collaboration with him.’’
Junior Shatta Cobra, her son, expressed his appreciation to Shatta Wale for his efforts in promoting the song “Cobra” on his social media handles.
Cobra was produced by Fred Kyei Mensah and vocalized by Gladys. Although it was first composed in 2022 and formally released in early 2023, it was not well-known until October 2023, when it began to acquire popularity on TikTok.
The song gained a lot of attention from well-known people, including Shatta Wale and Nana Ama McBrown, and quickly gained popularity on and offline social media.
