A Ghanaian private legal practitioner, Martin Kpebu, has asserted that legal actions must be taken against President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo after his tenure of office.
Lawyer Martin Kpebu made this statement in an interview on TV3 over the weekend, which was monitored by 1Family Radio.
He disclosed his intentions to pursue legal action against the president for the disbursement of GH¢500 million on fumigation exercises during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The lawyer cited an investigative findings by Manasseh Azure as an allusion, which allegedly unearth some crookedness in the fumigation expenditures.
“What I’m anticipating is that when President Akufo-Addo leaves office, I’ll make a complaint so that we prosecute him for the Gh¢500 million expenditure on fumigations of schools. After Covid, was the fumigation necessary?’’ he asked.
“This was from the investigation Manasseh did which won the West African Journalist of the year,’’ he hinted.
Lawyer Martin continued, “Just like Donald Trump, Akufo-Addo must appear before the court. The district and municipal assemblies said it was going to be a financial loss, they didn’t think that fumigation was needed.’’
