After being sued for alleged defamation by Nana Appiah Mensah, also known as NAM1, the CEO of the now-defunct Menzgold Company Limited, Bridget Otoo, a well-known media personality, eventually responds.
Bridget wrote on her X handle sometime back, “In which nation will a fraudster like NAM1 be permitted to do this?” This is a bribe for the police to arrest him to distribute money on his behalf. NAM1 chose to register a case of defamation with the Accra High Court, asking that the media representative, Bridget Otoo, pay him GH¢1 million in compensation, among other things.
Conversely, Bridget resumed her usage of her X account and posted on the platform, stating, “You [referring to NAM1] sold Aurum Utalium [fake gold used by criminals] to decent working Ghanaians and took their money, and you are suing me for calling me a scammer.” The message was noticed by 1Family Radio. She said she was ready to be brought to court and that she was eager for the NAM1 tale to be recounted again because it was coming to an end.
