The abrupt departure of Nana Yaa Brefo from Angel Broadcasting Network has been revealed by the Ghanaian media personality.
In an interaction with Blakk Rasta on 3FM, which was monitored by 1Family Radio, who currently works with Onua FM, she said she wasn’t allowed to freely operate.
She claimed that even though she wasn’t put under duress, she just didn’t feel fulfilled by her work.
It has to do with the need to be oneself in a specific setting, and that wasn’t happening. It’s like, no matter what, you never feel satisfied. You want to connect with the people and talk openly and at a certain moment about what’s occurring in Ghana, but no. Being a morning person, you want to spend the morning doing things. Should these things not materialize, it is best to move forward. I just want me, not gag per se. Money isn’t really the main concern,” she said.
She also described the efforts made by her previous employers to sway her resignation.
They attempted to talk to me about it because they were unhappy. We had a conversation when I submitted my resignation on December 1st. They attempted to get me to change my mind, including my colleagues and everything, but I had already gone on,” she continued.
She responded, “I think they have all the things I need in here,” when asked if her new residence, Media General, has lived up to her expectations thus far. I’m hoping they’ll let me have enough time to develop the morning program. I will also be permitted to be who I am, as I promised.
