Coach Evans Adotey says, “I knew before hand that they wanted to avenge the 5-1 loss they suffered last year at our hands” following Medeama FC’s 3-1 loss to Accra Hearts of Oak FC.
Hearts of Oak suffered a devastating defeat at the hands of Medeama FC in the previous season, and one could see the tension rising between the two teams. The former team’s supporters anticipated that their group would avenge the crushing defeat.
“I anticipated that it would not be simple for me, and that is precisely what transpired. We wouldn’t have ended up with the score that we did if we had begun the game well. I didn’t start the game well, which led to three goals at the conclusion of the first half before making up ground and holding on until the final whistle. After the game, Coach Evans made a statement.
The Hearts of Oak squad and its followers are celebrating after they have now avenged such a crushing loss, while Medeama FC and their devoted supporters are disappointed with the game’s outcome.
