Popular actress and socialite Efia Odo has taken a swipe at gospel singer Diana Asamoah over a statement she made over the weekend.
Evangelist Diana Asamoah hinted that we are in this predicament due to our unethical behaviors rather than the lackluster leadership of the government when asked about the current state of the Ghanaian economy.
“The whole world is in crisis; a lot of the hardships also rest on our actions. I have always maintained that even if Jesus becomes president and we don’t change our attitudes, we won’t have it right,’’ Diana Asamoah noted in an interview on UTV’s United Showbiz.
In reaction to this, Efia Odo has slammed the gospel musician, calling her a carnal Christian.
In a tweet picked up by 1Family Radio, Efia Odo claimed Diana Asamoah was unable to disclose the truth because she had been introduced to money.
“Diana Asamoah has had an encounter with money, so now the Holy Spirit has left her and she’s unable to speak the truth,’’ Efia Odo wrote.
“When the Holy Spirit dwells within, you are able to speak the truth, no matter how painful it is! God is watching.’’
“Does she really know what’s going on in the country? Does she understand what we’re fighting for? What does this image have to do with greed and envy? Efia asked.
