The resignation of Alan Kyerematen from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been criticized by Kiku Anyidoho, a former deputy general secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
On Monday, September 25, 2023, Alan Kyerematen made a formal announcement that he had resigned from the NPP in order to run as an independent in the elections of 2024 under his new banner, “Movement for Change.”
Koku Anyidoho, however, referred to Alan Kyerematen as a whiny baby who needs to be breastfed and implied that Alan had lost his balls when he left the NPP in 2008 before later returning to the party.
Koku expressed concerns about the possible repercussions of politicians resigning their parties after losing elections to create new political organizations in a tweet seen by 1Family Radio.
“So, if we all decide to leave our political parties after elections and form new parties, can you imagine the number of political parties we would have in the country?’’ Koku quizzed.
“Alan is just a crybaby who wants to be breastfed. He lost his balls when he first resigned in 2008,’’ he added.
“This was when Alan lost the plot and killed every chance he had of ever leading the NPP.’’
“The game of politics is not for crying babies; it is for men and women who have the heart to brave storms. Life itself is war, and Alan obviously doesn’t have the heart for politics,’’ he remarked.
