Mohammed Kudus of Ghana has received accolades from West Ham United coach David Moyes for his great performance against Backa Topola in the Europa League.
West Ham’s comeback triumph on Thursday night was largely aided by Kudus’ first goal for the club. After joining Ajax, it was his complete debut for the team.
Kudus’ performance was praised by Moyes, who also noted how it impacted the game.
The first 20 minutes of the game were played nicely by the team and Mo, in my opinion. In a post-game interview, Moyes remarked, “He faded, but in the end he came up with one and maybe two goals. I’m really, really pleased for him.”
He’s off to a good start; we like him a lot, and we’ll ease him in as soon as we have the chance to do so at the appropriate time. He continued, “I’m happy because he was the one who came up with goals tonight, and we needed someone to do that.
West Ham stormed back to win despite being originally behind to Petar Stanic’s goal in the second half. Four minutes later, Kudus headed in from a James Ward-Prowse corner after forcing Nemanja Petrovic to score his own goal. To complete the victory, Thomas Soucek scored another goal which was monitored by 1Family radio.
West Ham will travel to Anfield for their next English Premier League match against Liverpool.
