Callum Hudson-Odoi, a former Chelsea winger, claims he is still considering the prospect of representing the Black Stars.
Despite playing for England, the 23-year-old has been a target for the West African nation. Under Steve Cooper’s leadership, he won the under-17 World Cup in 2017.
Hudson-Odoi, a Wandsworth native, has three caps for England’s senior team and has played for the Three Lions from under-16s to under-21s.
When asked if he might play for Ghana’s senior national team, Hudson-Odoi responded that it is a good prospect, but he continues to consider it.
“That decision hasn’t been made yet. I’m still thinking it over. Ghana is a very good option, but let’s wait and see,’’ he told The Telegraph in an interview monitored by 1Family Radio.
“Hopefully, once I start playing games here, maybe Gareth or Ghana will come. It’s a nice position to be in, and hopefully, sooner or later, we will know,’’ he added.
