Shatta Wale has stated that, while other musicians seek to perform at London’s prestigious O2 Arena, his goal is to create more wealth.
The dancehall performer stated that he no longer cares what others think of him because he is progressively achieving his goals.
Shatta Wale made this statement on Wednesday, August 23, during a Twitter Space hosted by Serwaa Amihere as monitored by 1Family radio.
Shatta Wale stated that his main ambition as an entertainer is to have a billion dollars in his bank account rather than to have sold-out shows.
According to him, Ghanaians mistreat him and describe him as a drug addict, among other things; therefore, he finds no reason to organize for the country on a global level.
‘You call me a drug addict; why should I endanger my life to fill a void for Ghanaians or the music industry?” he remarked. I’m fine; I wanted to purchase a house, land, and make investments, so filling out the O2 is not my priority; my objective is to keep a billion dollars in my account, and that’s where I’m at right now. Nobody should bother me about filling out the O2 or about my music.
”After I filled the Accra Sports Stadium, Ghanaians should have assisted me in filling the O2, because I am not from London and cannot fill the O2. Asake alone could not fill the O2, so if the Ghanaian business is trying to explode someone who single-handedly filled the sports stadium without any promotions, what more can I do”.
