Nana Kojo Safo Jr., the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kantanka Automobile, has stated that he wasn’t informed about the Accra to London road trip embarked by a group of Ghanaians.
The 16-day voyage, which was completed over the weekend, attracted media interest across the country.
The group had allegedly attempted to cooperate with Kantanka Automobile to promote indigenous-made vehicles, but their attempts had been received with apathy from the company’s management.
“We didn’t get the support; we approached Kantanka, but they didn’t get in touch. They didn’t give us the audience, they didn’t even give us the time of day, and they didn’t even bother with anything,’’ Kwabena Peprah, the leader of the group, stated in an interview with TV3.
The CEO of Kantanka Automobile, however, claimed that he was unaware of the group’s voyage or request to collaborate with his company.
He made this revelation in a post he shared on his Twitter (now X) account, which was sighted by 1Family Radio.
“I was never contacted. Hmmm. A few heads will roll since it’s Monday. This is something I would have loved to be part of,’’ he wrote.
