Sammy Anim Addo, a Ghanaian football agent and an executive committee member of the Ghana Football Association has warned the former coach of the Black Stars to allow the issues surrounding Asamoah Gyan’s captaincy to rest.

Kwasi Atta in one of his interviews on Joy News stated that he stripped Asamoah Gyan of the captaincy position because he needed results.

Responding to this statement by Kwasi Appiah, Sammy has warned him not bring the issue to the notice of the general public. He asked him to keep mute about the issue and allow it to rest. “He needed results and he got the results”, Anim noted in an interview on Joy News which was monitored by 1Family Radio.

The former captain of the black stars has also revealed why he was angry with Kwasi Appiah’s decision and didn’t accept to be the general captain of the team. According to him, the timing of the decision was not right and Kwasi Atta didn’t give him any good reason why he wanted to take the captaincy from him.

He also explained that if the decision of Kwasi Appiah was right as he claims, why did he have to apologize to Asamoah Gyan and his team. There was no reason for Kwasi to apologize if the decision was his.

Asamoah reported that he left the team to help the former coach work with a sound mind.
