Kenyan health officials are looking into an undisclosed sickness after more than 90 schoolgirls were hospitalized.
The student from Eregi Giris High School in the western part of the nation experienced walking difficulties and signs of knee pain.
A senior Ministry of Education staffer assured frightened parents that the situation was under control during a visit to the school on Tuesday.
For the other students, he stated that classes would proceed as usual.
Jared Obiero, the regional director of education, stated that the pledge from the education department, the national government, and the public health agency is that the children will be treated.
The sick students’ blood, urine, and stool samples were submitted to labs in Nairobi and Kisumu, two nearby cities.
Experts will have conclusive results regarding the illness’s cause later on Wednesday.
