The request for a rematch by Isaac Dogboe, a Ghanaian boxer has been rejected by the camp of Robeisy Ramirez after the former lost his world title to the latter by unanimous decision.
Following his defeat to the Cuban Boxer on Saturday, Dogboe who expressed his disappointment after he was defeated by Ramirez in the World Boxing Organization Featherweight requested for a rematch from his opponent.
However, the camp of Ramirez has rejected the call for rematch by Dogboe. According to them, there will be no such thing because Ramirez’s victory was by unanimous decision.
Speaking in an interview on Joy FM monitored by 1Family Radio, Larry wade, a member of Ramirez’s camp stated that he doesn’t see the need for a rematch because Ramirez has already won the title.
“No way, it won’t happen because there is no need for it. After all Robeisy has earned the title by a unanimous decision.”
“There is really no upside I believe, for us. But if they insist of course, Ramirez will take up the challenge but I just don’t see the upside,’’ he noted.
