Charles Kweku Bismark Taylor, former Black Stars striker has applauded Chris Hughton for his dedication towards not only the senior national team but also to the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
Chris Hughton, the head coach of the Black Stars was captured making notes at the game between the Great Olympics and Berekum Chelsea on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
According to Charles, Chris has demonstrated that he is not only interested in building the Black Stars but also the GPL and for this reason, he deserves some commendation.
Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Angel TV monitored by 1Family Radio, the former forward advised that the GFA should give Chris a long-term contract in order for him to continue the good work he has started.
“Chris Hughton should be given a long-term project because he is very experienced. Good coaches like Hughton propel players to perform well,’’ he stated.
“When players saw the coach, they were motivated because they know they is an opportunity for them to stake a claim in the Black Stars. This will also compel the other teams we have in the country to step up their game.’’
Taylor noted that Chris has not only limited his visits to the capital region of the country, the more reason he should be given the chance to handle the team.
“Chris has not only limited his visits to only Accra and Kumasi. He should be given the chance to handle the Black Stars and also make all the decisions concerning the team,’’ he added.
