The vice president, Bawumia, and his entire economic management team have come under heavy criticism from Ghanaian musician and radio host Blakk Rasta.
He claims that Dr. Bawumia, who also serves as the nation’s chief economic management team member, has not been able to devise workable solutions for the Ghanaian economy’s problems.
According to him, the vice president has done nothing but plunder the country and leave a legacy of larceny after several government officials were implicated in corruption-related activities, despite his claims to be the country’s economic savior.
“My brother, my sister, was this the government that we bargained for? Was this the government that we all said we wanted? This government has demonized all of us, and we are here today. The Cedi is the worst-performing currency in the world, and I am so ashamed. Where is Dr. Bawumia?’’ he asked during his show on 3FM, which was monitored by 1Family Radio.
“The man who was touted as the economic wizkid of the nation, where are all the people who were touted to be a strong team that would leave this country unperturbed of economic problems?’’
“Today they are leaving us with a legacy of thievery, incompetence, carelessness, and nonchalant behavior,’’ Blakk Rasta said.
“I wish the youth of this country, including myself, would organize demonstrations right at the president’s house. We would be there every day until this president resigns,’’ he added.
