2017 VGMA Artiste of the Year, Joe Mettle, has debunked claims made by colleague Wendy Shay that every man is a cheat.
He claimed that just because some married men engage in extramarital affairs does not suggest that all guys are exactly the same and behave in the same way.
Joe Mettle voiced his utter astonishment that such a statement was uttered by a woman during a Peace FM interview that was monitored by 1Family Radio.
Wendy Shay may have had similar experiences in the past, he claimed, explaining why she made that assertion.
“Wendy Shay said every man cheats? It should be a man who can say that. Maybe she said that because of the experience she had with her boyfriend. I am telling you as a man that it is not true that every man cheats,’’ he said.
“And especially when you say every man cheats, you didn’t say it well. Some people say most men cheat, but when you say every man cheats, then it’s wrong.’’
“You can ask other men if that is true. But I totally disagree,’’ he added.
