Contrary to the opinions of certain New Patriotic Party (NPP) members, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawuma believes that he deserves to run in the forthcoming party’s presidential primary.
He asserts that his political journey in the NPP is comparable to the spiritual journey of the Apostle Paul in the Bible.
The vice president made this statement when he met with some party delegates at Aburi in the Eastern Region as part of his campaign tours.
He told the delegates during his submission, which was watched by 1Family Radio, that “sometimes great individuals arise at pivotal moments in history.”
“Just like the apostle Paul, who emerged to disseminate the gospel of Jesus Christ, I am here to usher in a new era for our country,’ he said.
“I stand before you as a testament to the transformative power of politics. My journey has mirrored Paul’s, who transitioned from being a prosecutor to an apostle. Similar to this, I have developed within the NPP, and I think I am the best and ideal candidate to ‘break the eight.’’
“I have dedicated my life to serving the public, and I am motivated to help the people of Ghana advance and prosper. We can create a country that thrives on innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable growth by working together,’’ he added.
