Agya Koo, a Ghanaian Kumawood actor, has refuted claims that he funded the construction of his new residence with funds obtained from endorsing the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He claims to have paid for the construction of his mansion alone and challenges any NPP official who has ever donated money to publicly come out and say it.
The Kumawood actor said during an interview on Angel FM that 1Family Radio monitored that there is no way the NPP will give somebody such a large sum of money to build a mansion for himself.
He said, “I established this project so that my kids don’t suffer one day by using my wits and the wisdom God provided me.’’
“Cross-check with banks around Ghana and determine the location of the transaction. Check for confirmation if the funds were sent to my account. Or, did i get the cash and carried it on my head from the Jubilee House to my house?” he questioned.
“Let any politician who has contributed to the construction of my mansion come out and speak. They will even laugh about it if they hear it,’’ he said.
He disclosed that at the time he endorsed the NPP, he had already completed his mansion and the only thing left to do was the painting.
“The structure was there in 2007, and even at the time I gave my endorsement to the NPP, I had finished the house but hadn’t painted it. I don’t know why people are spreading false information about me,” he added.
