Renowned Ghanaian actress and beauty therapist, Beverly Aflago alleged that most of the youth in this country are unemployed because of laziness.
According to her, most people who cry over unemployment have lackadaisical attitude towards their work when they are offered with the opportunities.
Speaking in an interview with Zionfelix monitored by 1Family Radio, the actress noted it is very difficult to get diligent workers in Ghana.
The actress who is currently operating a shawarma business added that some of the youth she has employed before didn’t meet her expectation. She added that some of these people always demand for their salaries despite their indolence towards work.
“It is very difficult to start a business in Ghana and get people to work with is not easy. The youth are always complaining about unemployment on social media. They don’t need a job because they are lazy,’’ she noted.
“The youth probably think that you start walking once you are born. They are lazy because they don’t understand that everything has to do with process.’’
She furthered that most of her employees quit work after two weeks when they experience the pressure involved in such businesses. Other inexperience workers expect higher salaries from her.
“it is all about the process but without experience, don’t expect so much from me. Most of these people quit after two weeks when experience the pressure at work,’’ she said.
Beverly continued that she doesn’t tolerate lazy people around her so she is quick to fire anyone with a lazy mentality.
