Former President John Dramani Mahama has stated that he will complete all the abandoned projects in the country if he is voted into power in the 2024 general elections.
According to him, the National Democratic Congress will not embark on any new project until they have completed all the projects abandoned by New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Addressing some branch and constituency executives in Odumase in the lower Manya Krobo which was monitored by 1Family Radio, he urged the electorates in the constituency to vote for the NDC into power again if they are really concerned about their future.
He stated that it will extremely difficult for the Ghana to borrow money from the World Bank ten years to come because of the excessive borrowing of the current government.
Mahama noted, “the NPP government is gradually destroying the future of the youth with its extravagant spending and excessive borrowing.’’
“The most painful aspect of this is that those who took the loans don’t have many years left before they join their ancestors. It will be very difficult for the future generation to secure a loan from our creditors because this government has defaulted in the payment of its debt.”
He appealed Ghanaians not to vote for the NPP government in the 2024 general elections because they have nothing to offer again.
“If you genuinely care about your future and that of this country, don’t vote for the government that has led us into this ditch. Listen to your conscience, this government has destroyed the future of Ghana,’’ Mahama said.
He continued, “It won’t be easy to secure a loan outside the country for the next few decades. The only thing the NPP has done is to destroy the economy of the country and they must be packed out.’’
