The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has reacted to Fameye’s reported adulterated fuel tweet at an unknown filling station.
Fameye, a Ghanaian musician and rapper in a tweet he shared last week disclosed that he was served with fuel laced with water which has damaged his Honda pilot touring car.
Reacting to this allegation, the NPA has disclosed that they have attempted to reach out to the management of the musician to assist them in investigation but they are unwilling to cooperate with the NPA.
In a statement shared by the NPA on their Twitter page sighted by 1Family Radio, the NPA noted, ‘’NPAGhana has sighted the tweet of music artist Peter Bozah alias Fameye, alleging that he had bought fuel laced with water resulting in a damage to his Honda pilot touring car.’’
“Upon reading the tweet, the Consumer Services Department of NPA on Wednesday, March 15,2023 at 4:39 pm and Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 12:31 pm reached out to Fameye’s management to assist with investigations,’’ the statement indicated.
According to the NPA, without the cooperation of the management of Fameye, they can’t help Fameye in anyway and this will make it impossible for further investigations.
“The unwillingness of Fameye;s management to cooperate with the NPA’s Consumer Services Department by providing key information, such as the name of and location of the retail outlet in question makes it impossible for the Authority to proceed with investigation into the case,’’ the NPA added.
The NPA furthered that the management of Fameye stated that they would handle the case by itself.
