Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the former minister of communications, made it clear to everyone that Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia’s economic record pales in comparison to that of former President John Mahama, when they held the same position while leading the nation of Ghana.
“For those who insist on purely Vice-Presidential records, JM makes Bawumia look like a schoolboy when their respective records are compared,” the former minister stated in a tweet that was picked up by 1Family Radio, making it apparent that Bawumia’s records cannot compare to Mahama’s.
According to his tweet, the government’s administrative debt was reported to have been GH¢35.1 billion under Mahama and GH¢600 billion under Bawumia, an increase of over 15 times.
The tweet also showed how under Mahama’s administration, the exchange rate and unemployment rates were both well handled, but under Bawumia’s administration, they both fell precipitously.
