Ghanaian musician and radio host Blakk Rasta has questioned Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s credibility following the failure of his ambition to become the NPP’s flagbearer.
He contends that Dr. Bawumia’s pledge to pay attention to Ghanaians’ concerns is unreliable since, throughout his seven years as vice president, he disregarded the concerns of the populace.
In order for everyone to assess if Dr. Bawumia had something new to give or the same policies that he had been talking about but failing to deliver, he asked Dr. Bawumia to share his vision with Ghanaians as soon as feasible.
“Dr. Bawumia says he will listen to the people. Have we all forgotten so soon when he went all the way to Agbobloshie and told the people, ‘I am going to make sure that you have some toilets and bathrooms?’ Up until now, he has even evaded the people,’’ he noted on his show, which was monitored by 1Family Radio.
“Do we all remember when Dr. Bawumia told the whole nation that he was not in support of anything like E-levy and that when E-levy is passed, it is the poor who are going to suffer in Ghana? Yet under his watch as Vice President, it was passed, and this guy had no shame.’’
Blakk Rasta also urged Dr. Bawumia to share with Ghanaians his vision for the country in light of his aspirations to become president.
“Can you please tell us what vision you represented in the eight years that you were Vice President? Can we know what that vision is? How far have you gone with achieving that vision? Is it digitalization? Is it the Ghana card?’’
“And if I ever meet this man again, I will tell him in the face that you’re a shameless bloke. How can you deceive Ghanaians all this way? You’ve lied to the extent that even children who have not been born know that this is the epitome of lies,’’ Blakk Rasta added.
