One of the two front-runners in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primary on November 4, 2023, Kennedy Agyapong, has cast his vote at the Pentecost Worship Center in the Assin Central constituency, where he currently serves as a member of parliament for the people.
Wearing a white long-sleeve shirt and jeans, the usually vivacious Kennedy Agyapong seemed composed as he carried out his voting responsibilities.
Kennedy Agyapong spoke to the media following his vote count, outlining his team’s efforts to compile the results.
In order to make sure they are on top of things, he disclosed that his team has set up a collation center where they will count his ballots.
Kennedy Agyapong also issued a warning, saying that he would respectfully accept the outcome and support the winner if everything went according to plan and there was no evidence of manipulation.
But he’ll do whatever he thinks will further his interests if he and his team sense injustice and partiality.
“We have a center where the results instantly come in, so be rest assured we will get our numbers on time,’’ he told the media during the interview, which was monitored by 1Family Radio.
There is no violence, and we will all go to the stadium this evening to celebrate. Whoever wins is for the party. It’s not an individual thing. If I win, I will be there; if I don’t, I will be there,’’ he added.
