A former highly spiritual signee, Mr. Drew, has reacted to some claims made by fellow colleague Kuami Eugene.
Kuami Eugene, in an interview with U.S.-based Ghanaian vlogger Naana Donkor Arthur, stated that he helped compose 80% of Mr. Drew’s hit song “Case” but was not given due credit.
“Mr. Drew’s song, “Case,” I wrote the hook and some parts of the second verse. I wrote like 80% of that song. In fact, before he came to record the song that hooked and everything was already done, he heard it and sang it back.”
“He’s my brother. I wish we could appropriately where credit is due in the industry and give respect so we can move on as individuals,’’ Kuami Eugene said.
However, according to Mr. Drew, he is not prepared to participate in or follow the drama that Eugene has created with this comment.
Mr. Drew made this statement during a live interaction with his fans on TikTok, which was monitored by 1Family Radio.
“Clean your mind. Focus on good things. All this drama that is being shared by blogs, I don’t follow them. So, my fans don’t follow them. Feed yourself with positivity. When it’s time for violence, we will give them violence, but for now, let’s do the good stuff.’’
Mr. Drew furthered, “I actually have nothing to say. All I can say is that go and stream the song, that’s all. You badly want to know what’s going on. Use that same energy to stream the song. You all get too excited when stuff like this happens, but it doesn’t help the work.’’
