The Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mark Okraku-Mantey, has come under fire from Ghanaian Afrobeats musician Kelvyn Boy for his eerie silence about the welfare of artists.
The current VGMA Highlife Song of the Year winner expressed his reservations via a tweet sighted by 1Family Radio, saying he is taken aback by the Deputy Minister’s passivity.
The Deputy Minister was challenged by Kelvyn to live in accordance with expectations and establish a means of aiding the sector.
“Ok, so now to creative arts. Where is Mark Okraku Mantey day? Since he became the deputy minister for our space, he’s grown awfully silent. For an outspoken extrovert like Mark, I’m a bit surprised. What really goes on?’’ he asked.
