Ghanaian celebrated Highlife musician Adane Best has asserted with conviction that he is one of the most gifted artists Ghana has ever produced.
He claims that despite the fact that it has been more than ten years since he recorded a hit song, he is still in high demand for live concerts both in Ghana and outside.
Adane Best said in an interview with Graphic Showbiz, which 1Family Radio was listening to, that the majority of his songs are outstanding and timeless, thus he is still relevant in the music industry with or without big songs.
“I firmly believe that my great songs have earned me a place among the best highlife musicians. Because all of my songs are timeless, I frequently perform in Ghana and beyond,’’ he said.
“Now it has become the norm to have a hit song to be able to perform at certain events, but things are different for me.’’
He furthered, “In fact, I am busy most of the time performing at one place or another, and that is because of my timeless songs.’’
“It’s a shame that songs no longer last more than five months. Even though “Ayitey” is almost 30 years old, whenever I perform it, people of all ages dance to it as if it were a brand-new song.’’
“Young musicians should learn from us how timeless songs are made, and some of us are willing to teach them,’’ he added.
