The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) former general secretary, Dan Botwe, has urged the party delegates to vote for the vice president if they indeed want to break the eight.
He contends that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the assured candidate who will lead the party to victory in the general elections in 2024 based on his expertise and assessment of the flagbearer candidates.
Speaking to some delegates at the Okere Constituency, which was monitored by 1Family Radio, Dan Botwe, however, noted that the party needs to put in more hard work to win the general election regardless of their presidential candidate.
“NPP is going to win in 2024. But as we always do, we have to do the hard work in 2024. However, we need a winning candidate,’’ he said.
“I love all the aspirants, but I love the NPP more. My friends in the NPP, if we look at what is happening in Ghana and the NPP now, we are looking into the future.’’
Dan furthered, “Based on my knowledge of the party and judging from what is happening, I want to say and ask all of you to go and vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.’’
“We have to be very strategic as a party in order to win 2024, and the best strategic decision is to elect Vice President Bawumia as our flagbearer,’’ he remarked.
