On the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Zanetor Agyeman Rawlings, a politician from Ghana, has declared her intention to retain her position as the Korle Klottey Constituency’s Member of Parliament.
She said that due to the excellent work she has done for her constituency, she will win the primary elections with or without the influence of her late father.
In an exclusive interview with Joy News that was monitored by 1Family Radio, Zanetor claimed that she won the 2020 elections without her father and she will do the same in this year’s parliamentary primaries.
“In 2020, my father wasn’t present, but I was able to increase my vote total from 4000 to 8000, which gave me the victory. I have a greater father in heaven, and my father’s spirit is also supporting me,” Zanetor added.
She went on to say that because she and her team had done a good job, the delegates kept giving her votes.
“My team and I have worked extremely hard. This is not something that just happened by chance; rather, a lot of work has gone into it by all of us.
In response to a question about what she would do if she lost this primary, she said, “I am not contemplating that possibility, so I’m not answering that.
“When asked if she is the ideal opponent for the NPP candidate, Zanetor responded, “You can only speak to the data, and according to the data, I beat the NPP candidate by a margin of over 4000, and that increased to over 8000 in 2020.”
