Bullgod, a Ghanaian artiste manager has lamented that the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has failed the creative Arts industry.
According to him, the ministers in charge of this ministry, Awal Maohammed and Mark Okraku-Mantey, has done nothing for the industry after their appointments.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty monitored by 1Family Radio, the artiste manager indicated that Catherine Afeku did a better job than the current minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
“This is the second time a creative person has been in government and I cannot see what he has really done to help the industry,’’ Bulldog noted.
He furthered that he respects Mark as a person but as a minister, he has failed the creative arts industry. “I don’t know what exactly they do in their office, I doubt if they have a voice and are considered people in position. I expect Mark to know his job, I can’t tell him what to do. Although I respect him as an individual, he has failed to do his duty as a minister,’’ he added.
“He has been in office for three years now with nothing to show for it. He promised us amphitheaters, where are they now? Bulldog quizzed.
According to him, it is very insulting to make a promise you know you can’t deliver on. “This is very insulting because we didn’t ask anyone to promise us theatres. This saddens my heart,’’ he lamented.
