Mr. Toni Aubynn, the Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association has disclosed that Ghanaians don’t watch the GPL because of poor pictorials.
Speaking in an interview on Joy News monitored by 1Family Radio, Mr. Toni stated that some fans of the Ghana Premier League have indicated that they’ve stopped watching the league because of its unappealing pictorials.
He furthered that until the quality of the televised games is improved, it will not attract people to watch it. According to Mr. Toni, people no longer go to the stadium because there is nothing to wow them as they feel they already know the outcomes of the games.
Mr. Aubynn unveiled that the Ghana Premier League will be changing over to a league owner-managed system and he hopes that the transition will bring about some good development.
He added that people are naturally drawn to nice things therefore the GFA must create a visually pleasing experiences for the supporters. According to him, Ghanaians will start watching the league if the park is nice, players wear good jerseys and the pictorials are of good quality, people will watch it.
